The HZ series was launched October 1977 and was the final revision of the Holden HQ series. The introduction of Radial Tuned Suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes was a dramatic improvement, which brought remarkable advances in ride, handling and improved safety . Holden had mastered Australian conditions better than any other on the road before. The HZ was also the last of the traditional sized Holdens, until the smaller, lighter Commodore repaced it in the following year in 1978.
The 5 litre (308ci) V8 engine and surrounding bay have an outstanding level of detail and include etched metal hinges for that realistic look.
The HZ interior features special treatment including revised instruments, tartan plaid cloth on the classy contoured bucket seats and a sports steering wheel.
