This is a genuine replica of the 1957 Chevrolet coupe driven by Victor Bray in the 2017 2018 2019 Championship under Gulf Western Oil.  This certificate is alson signed by Victor to prove a genuine member of the Australian Doorslammer Collection.

This is the latest matt black 1957 Chev Coupe in a long line of iconic 57′ Doorslammers competing in the Australian Doorslammer Championships by Victor Bray.  Gulf Western Oil were Team Bray Racing’s Naming Rights sponsor for the 2017 , 2018  and 2019 Championships represented by this model.  Unfortunatedly Victor suffered a health issue in June 2017 that kept him out of the driver’ws seat for quite a while.  While lying in hospital bed and back home during his long recovery Victor wondered whether he would wver drive his beloved 57 again.  An opportunity came up at the 2018 Winternationals and with the OK from his doctors and IHRA for Victor to attempt a qualifying pass.  Ben prepared the old 57 and Victor was nervously strapped back in well over a year since his last pass and over 100kgs lighter and with much changed in his life made his first qualifying pass.  With a foot stomping standing ovation from over 30,000 fans repeated again on another run and literally hundreds of ans coming by the TBR pit and welcoming him back a humbled Victor had reinforced what he had always known that Family, Friends and Fans are a big part of why he goes Racing and was overwhelmed with the response.  Victor thanked the skilly of his doctors and health team along with family and friends for helping him through an extremely tough time.  With support of his family, wife Marie, daughters Kelly and Billy-jo and son Ben along with team members and support of the fans Victory hopes to again compete in the Australian Supercharged Doorslammer Championship.
