The Chevrolet ZL-1 Camaro was unmistakable painted in bright Hugger Orange (to become known as Bob Jane Racing Orange). In 1972 Bob Jane became back-to-back ATCC champion after fighting an intense championship battle with his toughest opponent Alan Moffat Jane came out as champion once again, winning four races, finishing second twice, third once, and with just one DNF from the eight rounds. The consecutive titles were an historic moment in Australian Motor Sport. In 73′ ‘group E’ rules changed, stating 25 units or more must exist in Australia, instantly ruling out the Camaro, being only one of two in existence.
