The only one built with its specific combination of equipment and colour scheme.  This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1’s fascinating history begins with its order as part of a group slated for pace car duties at Texas World Speedway.  One of several NASCAR – sanctioned race tracks under the organizational umbrella of Detroit developer Lawrence Lopatin’s American Raceways Inc.  Finished in Calypso Coral with correct TIS pace car graphics and powered by a 351 CI Windsor engine mated to a select-shift cruise-O-Matic Transmission.  It is extensively optioned, displaying front and rear spoilers, a shaker hood scoop, magnum wheels, dual racing mirrors, tinted glass and rear-window sport slats.  It additionally features power steering and front disc brakes Comfortweave seats, Select-Aire air conditioning, a tachometer, trip odometer, in-dash clock and rim-blow horn.  One of the eight known to existg.  This ARI pace car has been featured in multiple magazines and is documented by its Eminger shipping invoice as one of the special “Promotional Pace Cars” delivered to Texas World Speedway.
